ABOUT Roanoke Valley Television, RVTV Channel 3, is a Government & Educational Access Station serving the City of Roanoke, the County of Roanoke, the Town of Vinton and their respective school systems. The local governments administer RVTV's budget with funds collected through a franchise agreement with Cox Communications. No federal, state or local tax dollars are used to operate RVTV. The RVTV Cable Access Director oversees the daily operations of the station. RVTV station policy and procedures are governed by the Roanoke Regional Cable Television Committee, which is made up of representatives of all three localities. Roanoke Valley Television offers a wide variety of programming choices including monthly Television Shows, Live Government Meetings, and Stand Alone Informational Videos.
